The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is seeking a highly motivated Urban Engagement Specialist for our Serving Our Streets Program within the Public Safety Division.

The role focuses on boots-on-the-ground outreach, canvassing target areas, and building relationships within each household to identify needs and connect residents to appropriate services. The ideal candidate will engage residents, monitor families in target neighborhoods, and coordinate with a Conflict Mediation Specialist or

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the local areas (Kingsway East, Jeff Vanderlou, Hyde Park) preferred.
• Valid Missouri driver's license, insurance, and a good driving record.
• Dependable and reliable transportation required.

Responsabilités

• Engage targeted residents
• Build relationships for individual progress
• Closely monitor and support the families who live in the target neighborhoods
• Establish presence in problematic areas
• Conduct home visits
• Conduct household assessments
• Refer conflicts to a Conflict Mediation Specialist
• Refer individuals in need of services to a Case Management Specialist
• Maintain log documenting all services and products provided
• Participate in all required meetings and trainings
• Attend community events/activities as needed
