Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis is seeking a Gun Violence Mediator to support the Serving Our Streets Program within the Public Safety Division. The role focuses on conflict resolution, outreach, and connection to services to reduce violence in the St.

Louis area. The ideal candidate has crisis intervention training, strong communication skills, reliable transportation, and a working knowledge of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.

Qualificações

• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience or training in crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
• Reliable transportation and valid Missouri driver’s license, insurance, and driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Gaining information on conflicts in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
• Formulating action plans to resolve conflicts.
• Attending weekly mediation meetings.
• Meeting with high-risk individuals to discuss issues.
• Working to prevent initial acts of violence.
• Help prevent retaliatory shootings.
• Develop relationships with community leaders and groups.
• Refer potential clients to outreach workers.
• Document conflicts resolved on mediation forms.
• Maintain daily contact logs.
• Participate in required training.
• Attend community responses as needed.
