FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an LVN for a nursing leadership role in California. The position focuses on delivering patient care within the scope of practice, while adhering to center policies and guidelines.

You will supervise care teams, participate in quality improvement, and ensure timely medication administration and patient education. California LVN licensure with a compact license is preferred for cross-state work.

Formación

• Current California LVN license; compact license acceptable for out-of-state work.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in long-term care settings required.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare charting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice per standards and physician orders.
• Maintains infection control practices and participates in quality improvement.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and medications.
• Administers medications and treatments per facility policy and timelines.
• Transcribes and executes physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians as necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
