FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an experienced LVN nursing supervisor in a California long-term care setting. You will oversee nursing care within scope of practice, ensure adherence to standards of practice, and coordinate with physicians and departments.

CA LVN license or compact license is required; prior management experience is preferred; familiarity with PointClickCare charting is a plus. The role emphasizes quality improvement and infection control in a regulated environment.

Formación

• Licensed LVN in California; managed nursing staff when contract is in-state.
• Experience with quality improvement and infection control programs.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines for long-term care.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Transcribe and carry out physician orders; notify changes to relevant departments.
• Round with physicians as needed and participate in care coordination.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
