Olsson is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Leader in Nebraska to oversee the Nebraska Water/Wastewater group, guiding project execution, client delivery, and staff development from Lincoln or Omaha offices. You will set priorities, manage budgets, and ensure quality and client satisfaction across projects.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in consulting, 4+ years supervising, and a strong background in water/wastewater.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the consulting industry.
• At least 4 years of experience supervising others.
• Established background in the water/wastewater industry.
• Daily management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily management and leadership for the Nebraska Water/Wastewater group while remaining actively engaged in project execution and client delivery.
• Manages staff and group dynamics; sets priorities for current and ongoing projects; and establishes goals aligned with the group’s objectives.
• Maintains responsibility for assigned projects, including scope, schedule, budget, quality control, and client communication.
• Monitors and manages project performance, employee utilization, and workload; identifies improvement opportunities; and implements plans to maximize efficiency and successful delivery.
• Oversees project management, quality control, and technical execution within the group, maintaining a utilization goal that supports leadership and active project involvement.
• Encourages professional development by helping employees identify goals and providing consistent feedback.
• Communicates regularly with group members to ensure alignment on initiatives and priorities.
• Ensures high level of client service through engagement with existing clients and relationship management.
