As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll play a critical role in the electrical installation and commissioning of utility‑scale solar and wind energy systems. This hands‑on position involves working outdoors in dynamic environments, interpreting electrical schematics, installing conduit and wiring, setting up inverters and transformers, and ensuring all systems meet code and safety standards.
Install, repair, and maintain conduit, grounding, motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components.
Ensure compliance with design drawings, electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Set major equipment including breakers, switches, instrument transformers, reactors, and capacitor banks.
Other labor‑related responsibilities: working outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Tools for the job: A state‑issued unlimited journeyman electrician license; OR equivalent combination of education and experience with willingness to obtain journeyman license prior to start.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Ability to pass a pre‑employment physical, drug and alcohol screen.
Willingness to travel and relocate to the job site (100% travel).
Must be able to work consistently outside, frequently in inclement weather.
$50.00-55.00 per hour; per diem based on eligibility.
