Job summary

Mosaic in Nebraska seeks compassionate individuals to host a person with an intellectual disability in your home, living together full-time and creating a supportive family environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, medication management, community participation, transportation, and documentation with Mosaic support.

Must be a resident of Nebraska, age 19+, own/rent housing, reliable transportation, and pass screenings; training and licensing guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Current resident of Nebraska due to state funding restrictions.
• Own or rent your own home, apartment, or townhouse.
• Active homeowner's or renter's insurance.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current vehicle insurance.
• Internet access and basic computer skills.
• Ability to complete required screenings, background checks, and training.
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and decision-making.
• Assisting with medication administration and medical appointments.
• Helping someone build connections, participate in their community, and experience a sense of belonging.
• Providing transportation and support with daily activities as needed.
• Maintaining documentation and communication with the Mosaic support team.
• Helping someone build confidence, develop independence, and pursue personal goals.
