Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) seeks a seasoned NDT-UT RL3 Engineer to lead NAS410/NADCAP compliant NDT programs for advanced aerospace structures. You will develop high-impact projects, designate qualified personnel, and coordinate customer interfaces for NDT solutions.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, ASNT Level 3 UT, and 10+ years of experience in high-performance composites. DoD contracting mandates US Persons and no visa sponsorship is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NAS410 and NADCAP for NDT and aerospace specs.
• Experience managing NDT facilities, procedures and personnel.
• Background in high-performance composites and UT inspection techniques.
• 10+ years in NDT/inspection of aerospace composite structures.

Responsibilities

• Implement NAS410/NADCAP compliant NDT program and annual reviews.
• Develop high-level and high-impact NDT projects and equipment.
• Designate qualified NDT personnel including auditors and examiners.
• Approve and monitor outside agencies for NDT activities.
• Administer and maintain NDT personnel qualification records.
• Coordinate yearly qualification/certification for inspectors.
• Ensure procedures, training, and examinations meet standards.
• Support MRB disposition and interpretation of NDT findings.
• Engage in technical NDT discussions with customers to optimize processes.
• Serve as primary contact for customer technical issues.
