Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks an NDT Technician 1 to support nondestructive testing across structural steel, manufacturing, and power sectors. The role combines field and occasional office work, performing MT/PT/UT/RT/VT exams, documenting results, and maintaining certifications in line with AWS/ASME/ASTM standards.

The position emphasizes safety, client interaction, and collaboration with the NDT team to deliver accurate testing services and proposals, with a competitive hourly rate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; DOT rules if applicable.
• ASNT-TC-1A progression toward UT, MT, PT, RT eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT examinations and interpret results.
• Maintain certifications and calibrations for NDT procedures and equipment.
• Coordinate field projects with NDT manager and prepare proposals, schedules, and reports.

Education
