Job summary

Acuren is seeking an NDT SME to support operations in Bensenville, IL. This will be a laboratory environment and on-site role.

The candidate should hold ASNT Level III in RT/MT/PT/UT (CR/DR experience required) with aerospace NADCAP experience and a solid NDT technical background.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level III with ASNT in RT, MT, PT, and/or UT; CR/DR experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• NDT methods background with ability to interpret inspection results and write reports.
• NADCAP audits/accreditations experience, aerospace exposure, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Adhere to safety regulations and applicable standards.
• Interpret radiographs, CRT, and digital readouts; report results.
• Organize and report test results; perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.

Position Summary

Acuren is seeking an NDT SME to support operations in Bensenville, IL. THIS WILL BE A LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Must have Level III with ASNT in RT, MT, PT, and/or UT. CR/DR experience is required
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
• Must have NADCAP experience with audits and accreditations
• Must have aerospace experience
