Job summary

Phase2 Technology is in search of a NDT Level II Technician to support operations in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, and reporting results accurately. The successful candidate will hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and be a certified Level II MT/PT/UT.

In addition, competitive salary ranging from $20.66 to $34.44 per hour based on experience, along with sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualified applicants, will be offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Level II MT/PT/UT is necessary.
• Technical background in NDT methods is a must.

Acuren is currently recruiting for a NDT Level II Technician (MT/PT/UTT) to support operations in Decatur, IL. THIS WILL BE AN EMBEDDED ROLE.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Certified Level II MT/PT/UT
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing
