Job summary

Arrowhead Products Corporation seeks a skilled NDT Inspector to perform Radiographic and Visual Weld inspections and interpret weld quality per internal, customer, and industry requirements. You will support NDT staff and mentor trainees and Level I technicians to ensure compliance and traceability of components.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, documenting results, writing work instructions, and participating in NADCAP and customer audits.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent and ASNT Level I certification.
  • Familiar with SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, and NADCAP audits is a plus.
  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Radiographic and Visual Weld inspection per applicable codes and standards.
  • Maintain logs and records to ensure traceability of components.
  • Write work instructions and participate in internal/audits and NADCAP audits as needed.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements and support other NDT personnel.

Job description

Job SummaryUnder direction of the NDT Supervisor or designated Lead, performs Radiographic and Visual Weld inspection. Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements. Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion weld, machined and forged products to meet company and customer specifications. Supports other NDT personnel; provides guidance to and mentors trainees and Level I Technicians.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms proper warm up and system performance checks of NDT equipment.Maintains daily, monthly logs and applicable records to assure traceability of components.Performs interpretations and evaluations of NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.Is responsible for writing work instructions and other documentation.May perform and/or participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits.Provides on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and NDT Level I personnel.May perform level I duties in addition to level II duties.Shall comply with other duties as assigned.Overtime may be required.This job description is not all inclusive of all duties. Other duties may be assigned.Education and ExperienceRequires High School diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of ASNT Level I course.Requires documentation demonstrating completion of at least the minimum hours of formal training and experience for each NDT method requiring certification. These hours are required to meet the minimum requirements of SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410 rev. 3. Candidates familiar with SNT-TC 1A, NAS-410, AWS, ASTM, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin a plus.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
