Job summary

Arrowhead Products Corporation in Los Alamitos, CA seeks an experienced Radiographic Weld Inspector to assess fusion welds, machined and forged components, and ensure conformance with internal, customer, and industry requirements.

You will train and mentor NDT personnel, maintain logs for traceability, and participate in audits, while applying SNT-TC-1A/NAS 410 standards and reading engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ASNT Level I & II training completed.
• Experience with SNT-TC-1A and NAS-410 knowledge preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints.
• Familiar with NADCAP audits.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic weld inspections per codes and specs.
• Maintains logs and traceability records.
• Interprets NDT results and recommends actions.
• Mentors NDT trainees and Level I/II personnel.
• Participates in internal and NADCAP audits.
• May perform Level I duties in addition to Level II.

Job SummaryPerform Radiographic Weld inspection. Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements. Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion weld, machined and forged products to meet company and customer specifications. Supports other NDT personnel; provides guidance to and mentors trainees; and Level I and II Technicians.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms proper warm up and system performance checks of NDT equipment.Maintains daily, monthly logs and applicable records to assure traceability of components.Performs interpretations and evaluations of NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.Is responsible for writing work instructions and other documentation.May perform and/or participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits.Provides on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and NDT Level I and II personnel.May perform level I duties in addition to level II duties.Shall comply with other duties as assigned.Overtime may be required.This job description is not all inclusive of all duties. Other duties may be assigned.Education and ExperienceRequires High School diploma or equivalent, plus successful completion of ASNT Level I, II courses.Requires documentation demonstrating completion of at least the minimum hours of formal training and experience for each NDT method requiring certification. These hours are required to meet the minimum requirements of SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410 rev. 4. Candidates familiar with SNT-TC 1A, NAS-410, AWS, ASTM, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin a plus.Knowledge, Skill and AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
