Job summary

Arrowhead Products Corporation in Los Alamitos, CA, seeks an NDT Inspector to perform Liquid Penetrant and Visual Weld inspections, evaluate welds and machined/forged parts to meet customer specs, and mentor Level I technicians. You will run system checks on NDT equipment, maintain traceability records, interpret results per SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, AWS, and participate in NADCAP audits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent and successful completion of ASNT Level I and II courses.
  • Familiarity with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, AWS, ASTM, Boeing, Rolls Royce, Lockheed Martin is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Experience with stainless steel alloys, titanium, and aluminum.
  • Familiar with NADCAP audits.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warm-up and system checks of NDT equipment.
  • Maintain daily and monthly logs to ensure traceability of components.
  • Interpret and evaluate NDT results against applicable codes and specifications.
  • Write work instructions and other documentation.
  • May participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits.
  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and Level I personnel.
  • Overtime may be required.

Job SummaryPerforms Liquid Penetrant and Visual Weld inspection. Processes hardware in accordance with internal, customer and/or industry requirements. Evaluates and interprets the quality of applicable fusion weld, machined and forged products to meet company and customer specifications. Supports other NDT personnel; provides guidance to and mentors trainees and Level I Technicians.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms proper warm up and system performance checks of NDT equipment.Maintains daily, monthly logs and applicable records to assure traceability of components.Performs interpretations and evaluations of NDT results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.Is responsible for writing work instructions and other documentation.May perform and/or participate in NDT system, customer, internal and NADCAP audits.Provides on-the-job training and guidance to NDT trainees and NDT Level I personnel.May perform level I duties in addition to level II duties.Shall comply with other duties as assigned.Overtime may be required.This job description is not all inclusive of all duties. Other duties may be assigned.Education and ExperienceRequires High School diploma or equivalent, and successful completion of ASNT Level I and II courses.Requires documentation demonstrating completion of at least the minimum hours of formal training and experience for each NDT method requiring certification. These hours are required to meet the minimum requirements of SNT-TC-1A and NAS 410 rev. 3.
