Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for NDT and RT Assistants to support our operation in Midland, TX. NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

The role involves setting up NDT equipment, assisting Radiographers with calibration and testing, and recording inspection outcomes. Local candidates are preferred for on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Background check confirming trustworthy and reliable to comply with regulations.
• TWIC card valid or able to obtain one.
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training (40RAD) preferred.
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities using NDT methods.
• Record results of inspections.
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations.
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.
