Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. is seeking an NDT/Quality Inspector to join our Savannah manufacturing team.

This role sets up, operates nondestructive testing equipment and determines the most effective inspection methods for each application, ensuring products meet exacting quality standards. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to read drawings and work instructions.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; plus at least one year of related experience or training.
  • Communication: Read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and communicate effectively.
  • Math: Proficient in basic arithmetic including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: Apply common sense to follow instructions and resolve routine problems.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic skills using personal computers and common software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Read, interpret and perform all operations as necessary per drawings and/or work instructions
  • General knowledge of all other shop processes
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and does so with minimal supervision
  • Perform TPMs on equipment
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection techniques
  • Operate CMM using established programs
  • Perform moment weigh inspections and tap testing operation
  • Verify specified dimensions of parts or material
  • Test product for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks
  • Perform air flow testing

Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power is hiring a NDT/Quality Inspectorto join our high-performance team in Savannah, GA. The Quality Inspector will set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Math Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of applying common sense to follow written, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in using personal computers and common software applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
