Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is hiring a NDT/Quality Inspector to join our Savannah, GA team. The inspector will set up and operate advanced nondestructive testing equipment to determine the most effective inspection methods for each application.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing visual and dimensional inspections, and operating CMM programs, with TPMs and airflow testing as part of quality assurance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus related experience or training.
  • Communication: read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and communicate effectively.
  • Math: proficient in basic arithmetic with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: apply common sense to follow instructions and resolve routine problems.
  • Computer Proficiency: basic skills with PCs and common office software.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
  • Read, interpret and perform operations per drawings/work instructions.
  • General knowledge of shop processes.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform TPMs on equipment.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection techniques.
  • Operate CMM using established programs.
  • Perform moment weigh inspections and tap testing.
  • Verify specified dimensions of parts/materials.
  • Test product for structural defects such as leaks or internal cracks.
  • Perform air flow testing.

Role Overview

Mitsubishi Power is hiring a NDT/Quality Inspector to join our high-performance team in Savannah, GA. The Quality Inspector will set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art nondestructive test equipment determining the most effective inspection methods to be used for each specific application. Example ( Red Dye Penetrate Testing)

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read and understand basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Math Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of applying common sense to follow written, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems involving multiple variables.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic skills in using personal computers and common software applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
