Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. is seeking a NDT Penetrant Inspector for B Shift to evaluate parts for surface defects using liquid penetrant and UV evaluation under Level 2/3 supervision. The role requires reading specifications, using measuring tools, and adhering to safety policies.

Responsibilities include penetrant processing, development, post-inspection cleaning, and meticulous record-keeping in customer logs. Applicants should be able to work overtime, stand/walk, and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Level II training certification to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret customer specifications and drawings.
• Experience with measuring instruments and calibration awareness.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
• Must follow safety policies and instructions, and work overtime if needed.

Responsibilities

• Sprays, brushes, or dips part in liquid penetrant.
• Allow penetrant to dwell for specified period.
• Perform final rinse and develop parts for inspection.
• Evaluate parts under UV light for defects under supervision.
• Record information in required log books accurately.
• Handle and manage hazardous waste properly.
• Maintain attendance and perform other assigned duties.
