Job summary

Petersen Inc. in Ogden, Utah, seeks a Responsible NDT/NDE Level 3 to manage all NDT/NDE activities on site. You will develop and qualify procedures, evaluate test results, and ensure compliance with ASNT, ASME, and customer standards.

You will mentor Level 1 and 2 technicians, lead investigations of nonconformances, and coordinate with production, quality, and safety teams to sustain safe, high-quality manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in NDT/NDE methods (MT, PT, RT, UT, VT) and ability to develop and approve procedures per codes.
• Experience interpreting NDT results, including defect characterization and reporting for internal teams and customers.
• Experience training and certifying levels 1 and 2 in NDT with leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all NDT/NDE activities, including procedure development, qualification, and certification.
• Review and approve NDT procedures; interpret test results and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and 2 technicians and lead audits/customer reviews.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to ensure reliable product quality.
