Karman Space & Defense is seeking a qualified NDT Responsible Level III – Radiographic Testing (RT) to lead radiographic inspection across Western facilities. As the technical authority, you will develop and standardize inspection procedures, ensure NADCAP alignment, and mentor RT personnel to sustain high-quality aerospace and defense outputs.

Qualifications

• Current Level III certification in Radiographic Testing.
• Significant experience in industrial X-ray radiography for aerospace/defense or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience developing, qualifying, and approving radiographic inspection techniques/procedures.
• Experience supporting NADCAP NDT accreditation, audit prep and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic inspection principles, image quality, exposure techniques, and NDT standards.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop competency of RT personnel across facilities.
• Strong analytical, technical communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as RT technical authority for Radiographic Testing (RT) across multiple facilities.
• Develop, qualify, approve RT inspection procedures and exposure parameters.
• Define RT system requirements and support equipment selection and implementation.
• Establish RT personnel qualification and certification requirements.
• Lead training and competency development for Level I–III personnel.
• Oversee NADCAP RT activities, audit readiness, and responses to findings.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace, customer, regulatory, and QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Manufacturing on RT solutions for new products.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for RT quality and process issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of RT capabilities across sites.
