Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an experienced Radiographic Testing Specialist to join our Materials and NDE team. You will perform RT inspections on complex aerospace hardware and help drive qualification programs across design and manufacturing.

You'll interpret radiographic images, develop techniques, mentor Level I/II staff, and collaborate with engineers to improve reliability and throughput in a fast-paced space production environment.

Qualifications

• Formal NDE RT classroom training and current RT certification.
• Level II RT certification with NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A or equivalent.
• Hands-on film and digital radiography on complex hardware.
• Ability to interpret welds, discontinuities, and image quality.
• Knowledge of RT principles, IQIs, exposure, and safety parameters.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and inspection plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced RT inspections on ground support and aerospace hardware.
• Collaborate with RT Specialists, engineers, and manufacturing to resolve challenges.
• Interpret radiographs and determine acceptance per drawings and specs.
• Develop, document, validate, and publish RT techniques for various hardware.
• Provide guidance to Level I/II personnel and share best practices.
• Generate inspection documentation and detailed radiographic reports.
• Troubleshoot inspection processes and maintain reliable capability.
• Communicate results and concerns with stakeholders across teams.
• Support continuous improvement of RT inspection processes.
