Karman Space & Defense seeks an NDT Responsible Level III for Radiographic Testing (RT) to serve as the technical authority across multiple Western US facilities. You will lead development, standardization, and certification of RT processes, ensuring compliance with NADCAP and aerospace requirements while collaborating with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.

The role requires Level III RT certification, strong experience in industrial X-ray radiography for regulated environments, and

Qualifications

• Current Level III certification in Radiographic Testing.
• Experience overseeing industrial X-ray radiography in aerospace/defense or similarly regulated environments.
• Experience developing and approving radiographic inspection techniques and procedures.
• Experience supporting NADCAP NDT accreditation, audit prep, and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Serve as RT technical authority for radiographic testing across facilities.
• Develop, qualify, approve RT inspection procedures and exposure parameters.
• Define requirements for X-ray inspection systems and support equipment selection.
• Establish RT personnel qualification and certification requirements.
• Mentor Level I-III personnel and support workforce planning.
• Oversee NADCAP RT activities and audit readiness.
• Ensure RT methods meet aerospace, customer, regulatory, and QMS requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Manufacturing on RT solutions for new products.
• Lead investigations and corrective actions for RT quality and process issues.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of RT capabilities across locations.
