Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking an NDT Level 2 technician for the 2nd shift to perform basic nondestructive testing on titanium and aluminum rotating hardware. The role involves ultrasonic, radiographic, PAUT, and other NDT methods, with data interpretation per customer specifications.

Safety-sensitive position under DOT rules with random drug and alcohol testing; strong focus on procedures, testing standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using non-destructive testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder due to program security clearance requirements.
• Proficiency in English, verbal and written, to understand safety procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT tests on rotating hardware.
• Advance to Level 2 through training in NAS-410 specifications.
• Implement procedures, instructions, and techniques as required.
• Conduct control checks on test method capability.
• Document test outcomes and advise team members of results.
• Interface with engineers and customers to improve processes; guide other NDT technicians.
