Job summary

Piping Technology & Products, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an NDT Level 2 Technician specializing in Digital Radiography (DR) to perform radiographic inspections of manufactured components.

You will set up exposures, verify image quality, evaluate indications, and maintain records while performing MT, VT and PT as qualified, adhering to ALARA principles and company procedures. Houston-based role with growth opportunities in NDT.

Qualifications

• NDT Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing with DR/DDA endorsement.
• Certifications in MT, VT and PT per inspections assigned.
• Texas Industrial Radiographer card with 3T status.
• Ability to pass near-vision and color/differentiation testing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate industrial X-ray tubes and detectors per procedures.
• Adjust exposure parameters to achieve required image quality.
• Verify IQIs and image quality before interpretation.
• Acquire and process digital radiographs using dedicated software.
• Interpret indications and document acceptance or rejection per specs.
• Perform equipment checks and support calibration/maintenance.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain digital records.
• Follow ALARA and radiation safety procedures.
• Communicate findings to QC, Eng and Production.
