Job summary

Segers Aero Corporation in Fairhope, AL is hiring an NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive inspections in support of the production schedule. You will set up equipment, conduct tests, interpret results, and complete inspection reports per quality processes.

Required are NDT technique knowledge and Level II certification, with MT/PT/ET qualifications and UT preferred. You will maintain NAS 410 and Segers QS 701 certifications, document findings, and support training while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with NDT inspection techniques and tools used to complete the inspection process.
• Must be qualified in MT, PT, and ET with UT preferred, per ASTM and internal procedures.
• Must maintain effective working relationships and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Completes non-destructive inspections in support of the production schedule.
• Sets up equipment, conducts tests, and interprets results.
• Completes NDT inspection reports and logs per quality processes.
• Examines material for surface defects (cracks, pits, incomplete welds).
• Tests products for structural defects (leaks, internal cracks).
• Rejects defective parts and marks defects on parts or tags.
• Assists in on-the-job training of other NDT staff.
• Maintains NAS 410 and Segers QS 701 certifications and communicates with Chief Inspector.
• Uses electronic databases for transactions and maintains clean work environment.
