Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as NDT Inspector or degree in Metallurgy/Engineering.
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level I/II qualifications and API certifications are a plus.
• Working knowledge of materials of construction and fabrication techniques.
• Experience with health and safety practices in manufacturing, ideally chemical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Administer Mechanical Inspection Program per ASME/API/OSHA for piping, tanks, exchangers, and pressure vessels.
• Interpret and apply inspection codes and procedures.
• Operate NDT tools (Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant, Radiography interpretation, Thermal imaging).
• Coordinate static equipment inspections with Level II/API inspectors.
• Develop inspection frequencies, document performance, corrosion rates, and failure classifications; report findings.
• Use SAP and MS Office to schedule, organize, conduct, and analyze inspections.
• Serve as maintenance consultant for failure analyses, project reviews, equipment selection, and SOP development.
• Support value-based decisions on maintenance repairs and participate in plant improvement teams.
• Work in a self-directed, team-oriented environment; adhere to Ludington Guiding Principles and safety programs.
