Job summary

OxyChem in Ludington, Michigan seeks an experienced NDT Inspector for the Calcium Chloride plant. You will acquire quantitative data on equipment condition using advanced tests to guide reliability improvements and coordinate with maintenance and operations teams.

Responsibilities include administering the Mechanical Inspection Program, applying ASME/API/OSHA standards, operating UT/PT/radiography tools, and supporting safe, data-driven repairs and optimization efforts within a safety-first

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as NDT Inspector or degree in Metallurgy or Engineering.
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Level I or Level II qualifications; API certifications are a plus.
• Working knowledge of materials of construction and fabrication techniques.
• Experience with Health and Safety practices in a manufacturing environment, ideally a chemical facility.

Responsibilities

• Administer inspection program to ensure ASME/API/OSHA compliance.
• Operate nondestructive testing tools (UT, PT, radiography, thermal imaging).
• Coordinate static equipment inspections and manage inspectors.
• Use SAP and MS Office to schedule and analyze inspection data.
• Support maintenance decisions and reliability improvements.
• Contribute to safety programs and continuous plant operation improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams on failures and repairs.
