Job summary

Acuren is seeking an MFL Floor Scan Technician in Baton Rouge, LA to set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment and perform inspections using NDT methods. This role requires current certifications in UT, MT, PT, MFL, and Vacuum Box, with a High School Diploma (Some college preferred) and a technical background in NDT.

Responsibilities include interpreting readouts, reporting results, and ensuring safety standards on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II in relevant NDT methods.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to detect defects using NDT methods.
• Adhere to safety regulations during examinations.
• Apply testing criteria per specifications and evaluate results.
• Interpret radiographs, CRTs, digital readouts and meters.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• May instruct and supervise others.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
