Job summary

Mistras Alaska is seeking an NDT Assistant to support Level II and Level III technicians on projects throughout Alaska. This is a hands-on field position supporting Non-Destructive Testing activities and may involve extended shifts based on project requirements.

This position is limited to candidates local to Anchorage or Wasilla, Alaska, with project-based schedules and potential travel within Alaska.

Qualifications

• Some prior NDT experience or NDE classroom training preferred.
• NDE methods such as UT, RT, PT, MT, VT preferred.
• Candidates without some NDT/NDE experience or training will not be considered.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Level II and Level III NDT technicians with inspections and testing activities.
• Prepare equipment and work areas for NDT examinations.
• Support NDT activities in accordance with procedures and safety requirements.
• Assist with equipment handling, setup, and cleanup.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Follow all company, client, safety, and quality requirements.
• Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
