Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. seeks an NDT Assistant in Benicia, CA to support NDT Level II and III technicians with inspection and testing activities. This hands-on role offers an opportunity to gain experience in the Non-Destructive Testing field on-site.

Local candidates only; relocation not offered. The position is full-time, on-site/field, with a pay rate of $23.00–$28.00 per hour and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous NDT experience or training is a plus.
• Ability to work in industrial and field environments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist NDT technicians with inspection and testing activities.
• Prepare equipment and work areas for NDT examinations.
• Assist with equipment setup, handling, and cleanup.
• Follow established procedures and safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Support technicians with general field duties as assigned.
• Follow all company and client safety and quality requirements.
