Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Nondestructive Testing Engineer to support critical electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems in our data centers. The role requires independent work and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve reliability and availability.

You will oversee medium-sized projects from conception to completion, drive safety culture, and act on data from multiple teams. Strong communication and multi-disciplinary teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends

Responsibilities

• Safety Ambassador responsible for driving a culture of safety and promoting a safe working environment for all.
• Maintain security and safety protocols while guiding others to comply.
• Use CMMS to schedule and oversee daily Nondestructive Testing maintenance across regional data centers.
• Act as escalation point for safety, security and facilities-related issues and report to manager.
• Deploy and support standard practices for Nondestructive Testing.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Interact daily with engineers, technicians, project managers, and management.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop detailed solutions while watching timelines and costs.
• Oversee projects and provide root-cause analysis for facility issues.
