Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services in Mobile, AL seeks an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in nondestructive testing at client sites. You will help set up inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT), organize tools, and uphold safety and quality standards in asset integrity work.

This role offers hands-on training, travel opportunities, and a pathway into more advanced inspection or project roles. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential in a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background check.
• Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
• Willingness to travel and work in environments typical to Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, etc.
• Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and varying schedules.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified NDT technicians in performing inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT, etc.).
• Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
• Support radiation safety practices and secure work areas for radiographic testing (where applicable).
• Transport equipment to and from job sites, maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
• Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
• Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations.
• Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
