Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an NDT Assistant in the Richmond, VA area to support field and shop inspection operations. This role welcomes NDT students and recent graduates looking to grow in nondestructive testing, with prior NDT assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities include assisting certified NDT Technicians, setting up and calibrating equipment, preparing work areas, documenting results, and traveling locally to job sites.

Qualifications

• Experience as an NDT Assistant is required.
• ND T students or recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Must be local to the Heath, OH area
• No relocation assistance is available for this position
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel locally when needed
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift equipment and work in industrial environments
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist certified NDT Technicians with inspections and testing activities
• Support setup, calibration, and maintenance of NDT equipment
• Prepare work areas, materials, and inspection tools
• Follow all safety procedures and site requirements
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas
• Travel locally to job sites as needed within the area
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisors or lead technicians
