Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for NDT Assistants to support our Longview, TX operation. You will assist in calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Local candidates based in Longview or surrounding area preferred due to the role requirements and safety considerations. Training and compliance with federal/state regulations, including background checks and driving record standards, are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or similar
• Some college coursework preferred
• Technical background beneficial and relevant to NDT work

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

We are currently seeking local candidates based in Longview, TX or the surrounding area. While we welcome applications from all qualified individuals, local candidates are preferred due to the nature of the role.

NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.

Responsibilities

• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Technical background desired
• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
• Motor Vehicle Driving record must meet company standards to drive company vehicles
• 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training(40RAD) preferred
• TWIC card
• Local to Longview, TX
