Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a NDE Lab Lead at Arnold AFB, TN to guide the NDE team, oversee testing of piping, vessels, and components, and ensure safety and quality across operations. The role requires advanced NDE certifications and DoD-level eligibility.

The position emphasizes leadership, documentation, and compliance with lab and safety standards, with competitive pay and benefits. U.S. citizenship is required and security clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus an Associate’s degree, 60 completed college semester hours, or completion of a two-year technical program.
• 10 years of experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) testing.
• Must possess or meet the training and experience requirements to obtain Level II or Level III certification in MT, PT, UT, RT, and VT.
• American Welding Society (AWS) CWI Certification
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC

Responsibilities

• Guides daily operations within the lab assigning tasks based on priorities and supports team members.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Performs and assists in nondestructive testing on piping, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, test hardware, and rocket motors.
• Interpret test results and document findings in detailed reports.
• Witness and verifies hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing of piping systems and pressure vessels.
• Performs In-Service Inspections (ISI) of PHMS certified systems and supports corrective actions.
• Maintains inventory, maintenance, and calibration of lab equipment.
• Performs NDT in certified methods at geographically separated units.
