Role Description

The NCCO Crane Operator is a full-time role based in Pierre Part, LA., In this position, the operator is responsible for safely operating cranes and related heavy equipment to lift, move, and position materials on construction and industrial sites. Daily activities include conducting pre-operation checks, coordinating lifts with site supervisors and rigging teams, following load charts and safety procedures, and documenting operations as required. The role also involves inspecting lifting equipment, monitoring site conditions, and assisting with basic maintenance to ensure equipment readiness. The operator works closely with project teams to meet schedule and productivity goals while maintaining strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Lifting Operations, including planning, executing, and coordinating safe material handling activities.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with Heavy Equipment and Cranes, including safe operation, understanding of load charts, and adherence to equipment limits.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with Lifting Equipment and Inspection practices, including routine checks, reporting defects, and maintaining equipment records.
• Valid NCCCO lattice boom crane operator certification and a clean safety record.(Friction crane experience preferred)
• Knowledge of OSHA and relevant industry safety standards, with the ability to follow site-specific safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret lift plans, site drawings, and written instructions, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including climbing, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
