Role Description

The Crane Operator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mobile, AL. The Crane Operator will safely operate mobile and crawler cranes for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads according to project specifications and lift plans. Daily responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, setting up cranes and rigging, following load charts and lift drawings, and coordinating with site supervisors and rigging personnel. The role involves adhering to company and regulatory safety standards, maintaining accurate operation and inspection records, and reporting any equipment issues promptly. Crane Operators may also assist with basic rigging tasks and support the preparation and transport of lifting equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Lifting Operations, including safe load handling and adherence to lift plans and site procedures.
• Candidates should possess skills in Heavy Equipment operation, particularly mobile and crawler Cranes.
• Candidates should possess skills in working with Lifting Equipment and rigging accessories used in industrial and construction environments.
• Candidates should possess skills in Inspection of cranes, lifting gear, and related equipment to identify and report defects or maintenance needs.
• Relevant certifications such as NCCCO or equivalent crane operator credentials.
• Knowledge of OSHA and industry safety standards related to crane and lifting operations.
• Ability to read and follow load charts, lift drawings, and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills, situational awareness, and ability to work effectively with site crews.
• Previous experience as a crane operator or in heavy lifting environments is highly beneficial.
