Job summary

Matrix Service seeks a crane operator to operate mobile hydraulic boom cranes over 50 ton capacity at sites with restricted maneuverability and critical precision. You will load and unload equipment, position loads with joysticks and signaling, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' mechanical/industrial or refinery maintenance experience.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Must pass equipment test and safety training.
• Active status in drug testing program.
• Must obtain NCCCO card and DOT Card.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Perform precise load placements where exact movements are necessary to position loads accurately and safely.
• Load and unload equipment and supplies at sites with obstructions such as masts, antennas, or beams.
• Operate cab controls and signaling to lift, move, and position loads using hoisting attachments.
• Observe load hookup, assess safety, and inspect crane and hoisting mechanisms.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to minimize hazards.
