Lesley University in Cambridge, MA is seeking a part-time Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach to join our Athletics department. The assistant coach will help with practice planning, recruitment, and player development, and implement competition strategies to support the NCAA Division III program.

This role requires night and weekend hours, travel as needed, and a commitment to NCAA and conference rules. The successful candidate will contribute to team success, community engagement, and fundraising

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Previous collegiate coaching experience or competition at the college, semi-pro, professional, or international level is required.
  • Ability to participate in admissions events (Open Houses, Accepted Students Day, and other new student events).
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license or the ability to commute to practices/competitions.
  • Requires night and weekend hours and potential overnight travel.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with practice planning and recruitment.
  • Support player development and film analysis.
  • Manage equipment and plan team events.
  • Implement competition strategies for NCAA Division III program.
  • Help lead the basketball team per NCAA, conference and university standards.
  • Support fundraising efforts and community service activities.
