Job summary

MITRE’s Nuclear Enterprise division seeks leaders with firsthand knowledge of NC2/NC3 systems to help modernize DoD capabilities. You’ll evaluate architectures, define requirements, and advise senior sponsors on near- and long-term strategy across the nuclear enterprise.

This role is based at MITRE’s Bedford, MA location with on-site work four days a week; the position requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years’ related experience with a Bachelor’s or 8 years with a Master’s; or 5 with a PhD.
• Active Top Secret U.S. Government clearance required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Minimum of 4 days per week on-site.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a multi-discipline systems engineer for NC2/NC3 domains.
• Address nuclear command and control operational challenges.
• Define and evaluate future NC3 architectures.
• Provide leadership and unbiased DoD guidance to sponsors.
• Apply advanced capabilities to real-world needs.
• Address international security concerns in modernization.
