Job summary

Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dedicated NC Pre-K Lead Teacher to deliver high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction to eligible 4 and 5-year-olds in Greenville, NC.

The role requires a Birth–Kindergarten NC Teaching License (Initial or Continuing) and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Experience in early childhood education is preferred, with a focus on school readiness and family communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold Birth–Kindergarten NC Teaching License (Initial or Continuing).
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Experience in childcare or early childhood education preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach lessons using The Creative Curriculum.
• Supervise, support, and guide the classroom Teacher Assistant.
• Track and document student growth and development.
• Hold two parent conferences annually (Fall and Spring).
• Maintain classroom routines and daily schedules.
• Follow DCDEE and NC Pre-K guidelines; communicate with families.
