Job summary

Decore is seeking a production operator to efficiently run machines and produce parts per customer drawings and internal sketches. You will set and operate programs, read tickets, and perform visual inspections with measuring tapes. Knowledge of door styles and unit conversions will be helpful.

The role requires following safety rules, maintaining a clean work area, and performing related duties as needed. This is a full-time, day shift position located on-site in Monroe, NC.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate programs and machinery to produce parts.
• Follow instructions and read production tickets accurately.
• Perform visual inspection using measuring tapes.
• Prepare correct material for scheduled orders per work orders.
• Obtain knowledge of door styles, sizes, tolerances and unit conversions from mm to inches.
• Maintain health and safety regulations and a safe work environment.
• Support safety and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

Responsible for the efficient operation of the machine to produce parts in accordance to customer drawings, internal sketches and/or other forms of instructions.

Essential functions:

• Capable to set and operate programs and machinery
• Must be able to follow instructions and able to read production tickets
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform visual inspection utilizing measuring tapes.
• Ensure correct material is prepared for scheduled orders according to work order information.
• Obtain knowledge of door styles, sizes, tolerances and conversion from millimeters to inches.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Supports Safety and good housekeeping in maintaining a safe work place environment.
• Performs other related duties as required

Knowledge, Skill and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
• Basic math skills
• Ability to use and read a tape measure

Job Type:

Full-time, Day Shift

Physical Requirements:

Constant standing (8-9 hours daily), bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting a minimum of 25 pounds.
