Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP in North Carolina seeks an experienced CEI/CMI Manager to lead our NC CEI/CMI program, expand services, and deliver transportation projects for NCDOT and local governments. The candidate will oversee multiple projects, manage staff, and develop regional growth strategies.

The Senior Manager will help shape statewide growth, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients to ensure project success while maintaining high-quality inspection and construction management

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering – Construction Engineering concentration preferred
• 16+ years of NCDOT Construction Engineering Inspection / Construction Manager experience, desired in roadway engineering
• North Carolina licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Business Development and Client Services Management
• Excellent Communication Skills for client relationships
• MS Office Applications incl. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Ability to develop and manage scope, manhour and fee estimates, and schedules
• Experience mentoring, training, and managing staff
• Ability to lead multiple projects and teams with a collaborative mindset
• Construction Management Services experience for NCDOT and NC Local Governments clients including Projectwise/Sharepoint/HiCAMS

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple NCDOT and local government CEI/CMI projects.
• Serve as Responsible Charge Engineer or Project Manager as needed.
• Develop growth strategies and pursuit decisions for CEI/CMI practice in NC.
• Support marketing, business development, and proposals.
• Procure and hire CEI Technician resources; manage inspection staff.
• Review invoices, develop project scopes and budgets, and ensure QC/QA standards.
