WORK OPTION: The NBA currently provides eligible employees the option of working remotely one day per week._________________Position Summary:This position is part of the NBA Social & Digital Content team which focuses on identifying , creating, distributing and publishing content to the NBA's social and digital platforms and its many domestic and international partners throughout the world. As the demand for content on the NBA's social platforms continues to grow, this is your opportunity to grow with us in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment, reaching social followers around the world.The ideal candidate is an active user of Meta platforms and products (Facebook, Instagram, Thread s, etc.) and is an expert on the on-platform features, latest trends and how to create optimized content for these platforms. This candidate also has their finger on the pulse of the NBA and spends their free time immersing themselves in podcasts, message boards and consuming short and long form content about the NBA.Major Responsibilities:Oversee the NBA’s Meta platforms publishing strategy , which includes:Own Meta platforms content strategy, publishing distribution , and platform performance across all NBA accounts.Identify and implement new Meta platform features, and opportunities that improve audience engagement and content reach.Develop platform-specific playbooks and publishing frameworks for Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.Mentor and develop platform publishers, establishing best practices, workflows, and quality standards across the Meta ecosystem.Analyze audience behavior, engagement trends, and platform performance to inform content strategy and optimization efforts.Partner with Content Planning, Content Creation, and Real-Time Content Command teams to ensure Meta priorities are represented in content development and distribution strategies.Present and communicate strategy and insights on a weekly and tentpole basisRequired Skills/Knowledge:5+ years of experience publishing across social and/or digital platformsKnowledge of Meta platforms and content distribution (Facebook, Instagram, Thread s, etc.) at an expert levelKnowledge of the NBA at an expert level, and is passionate about the storylines surroundings its players, coaches, teams, statistics, standings and history of the league, as well as excellent understanding of basketball stats and analytics, the rules of the game and the history of the gameExperience leading the creation of basketball contentStrong understanding of the NBA’s social voiceWillingness to work a flexible schedule as this position may include working days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on the NBA calendarAbility to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approachAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment while handling critical tasks in a composed and timely mannerExcellent organizational and project management skillsGreat communication skills and ability execute feedback givenMust be a team player who can work collaborativelyEducation:Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field preferredSalary Range:$100,000 - $120,000Job Posting Title:Senior ManagerEmployees currently are eligible to receive an annual discretionary performance bonus, awarded at the sole discretion of the Company and subject to any terms and conditions set by the Company.
