Job summary

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is seeking an Associate Video Coordinator to join NBAE in handling acquisition, ingest, archive and quality control for all content flowing into the Digital Media Management system. The role also involves delivering content to international and domestic partners and supporting NBA content networks across digital assets.

In this role you will ensure metadata accuracy, assist with VOD creation for the NBA App, and troubleshoot distribution issues across

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of file sharing and transferring methods (Aspera, Signiant, FTP).
  • Familiar with metadata fields and taxonomy structures.
  • Familiar with transcoding files into multiple editing formats.
  • Experience with transcoding software Telestream Vantage preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Associate Video Coordinator is responsible for the acquisition, ingest, archive and quality control of all content going into NBAE's Digital Media Management (DMM) System, as well as the delivery of content to international and domestic partners. The coordinator is also responsible for supporting the NBA Content Network and content for the NBA's digital assets.

Major Responsibilities
  • Quality control of video assets being distributed worldwide and being ingested into the archive
  • Playout or export sequences from edit system to tape, ingest or feed
  • Ingesting/loading content into NBAE's Digital Media Management (DMM) System
  • Support creation and distribution of VOD content to the NBA App
  • Troubleshoot issues associated with distributed videos across multiple platforms
  • Review metadata associated with video assets and update accordingly
  • Identify trends and themes across different types of video content
Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Knowledge of file sharing and transferring (examples: Aspera Client, Signiant Media Shuttle, FTP)
  • Familiar with metadata fields and different taxonomy structures
  • Familiar with transcoding files into multiple editing formats
  • Experience with transcoding software-Telestream Vantage preferred
  • Work well in group settings and collaborate with others
  • Video editing experience
  • Experience uploading and transferring files to clients
  • Previous work experience in the sports industry a plus
  • Strong knowledge of basketball a plus, but not required
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Salary Range

26.70/hr
