Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting in the Washington, D.C. area is seeking a Mid-Level Training Specialist to support the U.S. Navy's Surface Ship Modernization program.

The role focuses on delivering training and development to government and contractor staff, and on coordinating curricula and assessments. You will design lesson plans, prepare materials, track progress, and collaborate with Navy stakeholders. Domestic and international travel may be required; candidates must be detail-oriented,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in training and development for U.S. Navy program offices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited institution.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and development support to Navy program office.
• Plan and deliver training programs for employees and external customers.
• Develop teaching materials and lesson plans; issue completion certificates.
• Coordinate with onsite supervisors on performance improvement services.
• Plan internal and external engagements such as meetings, conferences, and events.
• Assist in drafting briefing materials in accordance with Navy guidelines.
• Coordinate data calls and report to government leadership.
• Attend meetings and assist with presentations and materials.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support sites and obtain certifications as required.
