Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Training Specialist in Arlington, VA to support the U.S. Navy’s Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment office.

The role delivers training programs, develops materials, and coordinates stakeholder engagements while traveling as needed. The position requires 5+ years in Navy training support, proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint, and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field from a U.S.-accredited institution.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work.
• Plan and develop programs for training by assessing and identifying training needs created by problems within the organization.
• Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
• Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services.
• Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for action.
• Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes, assist in preparing and closing action items.
• Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations and communications; travel domestically and internationally as required.
