Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Test Technician Navy Submarine Fire Control (AN/BYG-1 TCS) to join a mission-driven team supporting the U.S. Navy and allied submarine combat systems.

Responsibilities include hands-on testing, validation, and integration of complex tactical control subsystems in a DoD environment. The role requires prior US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician experience, agile collaboration with engineers, and willingness to travel to partner locations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with the US Navy AN/BYG-1 Tactical Control System (TCS).
• Strong US Navy Submarine Fire Control Technician experience, including operation/maintenance of submarine fire control systems.
• Completion of submarine maintenance school at rank E4 or above preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct subsystem and system testing on TCS-related boxes at multiple sites.
• Verify TCS hardware/software meets requirements and performance criteria.
• Work in an Agile environment with engineers to validate Navy deliveries.
• Analyze results to ensure components satisfy system requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain test bays and equipment.
