Job summary

General Dynamics - IT is seeking a Training Specialist to deliver SSDS ADWC training and advanced warfare instruction for Navy personnel. The role includes classroom teaching, scenario-based shipboard labs, and performance assessments to ensure tactical proficiency with Aegis/SSDS systems.

The position emphasizes curriculum development, instructor leadership, and readiness for operations aboard U.S. Navy ships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
• Seven years of combat systems/tactical employment experience.
• One year as Instructor/Trainer/Evaluator in Navy CT environments.
• Experience with SSDS training simulators (BFTT, TSSS, BEWT/SEWTT, ATD).

Responsibilities

• Provide dynamic teaching and assessment requiring advanced Navy SSDS knowledge.
• Review SSDS capabilities and integrate defensive systems into training.
• Assess sailors' proficiency per shipboard procedures and report improvements.
• Lead curriculum development and updates for SCSTC training.
• Document training activities and generate formal performance reports.
• Deliver advanced tactical SSDS training programs and materials.
• Establish course content, objectives, and evaluation criteria.
• Maintain training records and track participant progress.
• Liaise with external stakeholders for instructor leadership and mentoring.
• Support multi-shift training and travel as required up to 20%.
• Maintain currency on U.S./allied/adversary technologies and guidance.
