Job summary

Ignite Digital is seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert to provide high-level technical expertise for a Navy/DoW legacy software engineering project in the Norfolk, VA area. The ideal candidate will be a recognized industry expert with extensive experience leading complex software development and sustainment activities within DoW environments.

The role requires an active DoW SECRET clearance, hands-on software maintenance and Agile leadership experience, and the ability to mentor teams

Qualifications

Active clearance and DoW software maintenance training completed.
18 years of hands-on software development and maintenance experience.
Experience applying Agile methodologies in DoW environments.
Preferred Navy NIWC/NAVSEA background and DoW familiarity.

Responsibilities

Provide deep subject matter expertise supporting legacy web-based application software engineering, modernization, sustainment, and integration.
Conduct systems and operational requirements analysis to guide functional and technical development.
Support test and evaluation planning and execution for software releases and updates.
Perform detailed data analysis related to system performance, reliability, and sustainment metrics.
Develop and deliver training materials, user guidance, and technical documentation.
Provide expert recommendations to government leadership and program stakeholders.
Lead and mentor technical personnel supporting Agile development, code maintenance, and system enhancements.
